LA Galaxy (7-17-8, 29 points) will host Fan Appreciation Night at their home finale this weekend, when they take on Minnesota United FC (10-16-6, 36 points) at 4:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, Oct. 15 at StubHub Center (Spectrum SportsNet, Spectrum Deportes).
The weekend trip will mark Minnesota United FC’s first-ever trip to SoCal and they’ll be traveling with intentions of avenging a loss they suffered against Galaxy earlier this season. They first met on May 21, when Romain Alessandrini and Giovani dos Santos combined for one of the team’s finest goals of 2017, which ultimately helped LA earn all three points in Minneapolis.
This season, the Galaxy are 2-9-5 at home, while Minnesota are 3-10-2 on the road. LA drew 1-1 against Real Salt Lake in their most recent outing at StubHub Center.
Hosting Fan Appreciation Night on Sunday, the first 10,000 fans to StubHub Center on Sunday will receive a free LA Galaxy hat, thanks to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The night will also feature an LA Galaxy Equipment Sale, 50% off LA Galaxy Team Store and 25% off merchandise and food ordered through the LA Galaxy App. LA Galaxy players will sign autographs for fans around the lower bowl of the stadium after the game.
