LOS ANGELES (Monday, June 11, 2018) – The LA Galaxy have announced a full watch party schedule for the group stages of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Viewing parties will take place in locations throughout Los Angeles as the LA Galaxy celebrate the world’s biggest soccer tournament in one of the world’s most iconic cities for soccer.
The World Cup Watch Party series will kick off at the CityWalk at Universal Studios, as LA Galaxy’s Giovani and Jonathan dos Santos kick off their World Cup campaign with Mexico in their debut match against Germany. Brazil’s opening match against Switzerland will follow, being shown at a variety of CityWalk bars and restaurants.
The LA Galaxy will celebrate the launch of the LA Galaxy x Port Capsule Collection on Saturday, June 23 at the Long Beach Art Theater during a FIFA World Cup viewing party and four-a-side futsal tournament from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. PT. The Watch Party will start with Mexico vs. South Korea followed by Germany vs. Sweden.
On June 27, the Galaxy will host a watch party for Germany vs. South Korea at the historic Alpine Village in Torrance. Alpine Village is a German-inspired destination for dining, entertainment, and shopping, and annually hosts Los Angeles’ biggest Oktoberfest celebration.
El Torito will host watch parties for each of Mexico’s group stage matches. Mexico’s games against Germany (6/17), South Korea (6/23) and Sweden (6/27) will all be hosted in viewing parties at El Torito’s Orange location.
