The LA Galaxy are 24-22-14 all-time against Sporting KC, but suffered two losses to SKC in 2017. Both meetings resulted in 2-1 wins for Kansas City, despite an outstanding free kick goal from Romain Alessandrini in the most recent matchup.
Over the weekend, the Galaxy earned a 4-3 victory in their first match against LAFC. Despite trailing 3-0 at halftime, the Galaxy rallied for four second-half goals and all three points. Sebastian Lletgetscored the first goal in the comeback, followed shortly by Chris Pontius’first goal in a Galaxy jersey. The game ended with two goals from LA Galaxy’s newest signing, Zlatan Ibrahimović, including a 40-yard goal that earned Sportscenter’s #1 play and a game-winning extra-time header.
