LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimović voted MLS Player of the Week

LOS ANGELES -- LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been named MLS Player of the Week for 24th Week of 2019 MLS season.

Ibrahimovic scored a pair of braces last week, the first in the team's 2-0 victory over FC Dallas on Wednesday and then again in their 2-2 draw against Seattle Sounders FC. Ibrahimovic has 20 goals this season, the third-highest mark in the league.

The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season through both media and fan voting in a process conducted by MLS Communications. A panel of journalists from the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) comprises 75 percent of the vote, while a Twitter fan vote represents the remaining 25 percent of voting. NASR consists of members of print, television, radio and online media.
