LA Galaxy host San Jose Earthquakes in Cali Clasico on Sunday | Weekly Schedule

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, May 16, 2016) – The LA Galaxy (5-1-4, 19 points) carry an eight-game unbeaten streak into StubHub Center for the California Clásico this Sunday, May 22, at 4 p.m. PT against the San Jose Earthquakes (FS1, FOX Deportes). LA Galaxy II will travel for a match on Sunday, May 22, at 5 p.m. PT against Seattle Sounders FC 2 at Starfire Stadium.

The LA Galaxy are 29-20-12 all-time against the San Jose Earthquakes, including 19-5-5 in matches played at home. In their last match, played at StubHub Center on March 19, the Galaxy earned a 3-1 win over San Jose behind a brace from Gyasi Zardes and a goal from Robbie Keane. Sunday’s match marks the second of three contests this season, with the next game set for Saturday, June 25, in San Jose.
This season, the Galaxy are 4-0-1 at StubHub Center, scoring 17 goals while allowing just seven. The Galaxy have been one of the most successful MLS teams at home during the last four seasons, scoring 134 total goals at StubHub Center, the most of any team. The Galaxy’s home MLS record throughout the last four seasons is 38-5-12, with 134 goals for and just 43 against. Since 2014, the Galaxy have only lost five of their previous 55 MLS games at StubHub Center.
LA currently lead MLS in goals with 24 scored and are the only MLS club to be averaging more than 2 goals per game. With 24 goals for and just 12 against, the Galaxy have the league’s best goal differential (+12). LA are also one of two teams (RSL) to have a winning record when they allow the first goal (3-1-3).
