During the 2023 campaign, Puig recorded seven goals and eight assists in 29 regular-season appearances (28 starts). After joining the Galaxy from FC Barcelona in August of 2022, Puig ended the 2022 campaign with three goals and five assists in 10 appearances (9 starts) in his first season with LA.

“Riqui is a unique talent and an extreme competitor,” said LA Galaxy Head Coach Greg Vanney. “This extension is both a recognition of what Riqui has accomplished, as well as a symbol of our mutual belief and commitment that we can win championships with him as a centerpiece of our team. We are excited that Riqui is settled here in LA, as the pursuit for our sixth MLS Cup continues.”
