CARSON, Calif. (Monday, May 9, 2016) – The LA Galaxy (5-1-3, 18 points) will travel for a match against the Philadelphia Union at Talen Energy Stadium on Wednesday, May 11, at 4 p.m. PT live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes. LA Galaxy II will face Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on the road this Sunday, May 15, at 2 p.m. PT at UBC Thunderbird Stadium.
The LA Galaxy are 6-1-1 all-time against the Philadelphia Union, and 2-0-1 in matches played on the road. This year, the Union have not lost at Talen Energy Stadium, going 3-0-1 to start the season. In the last contest between the two, the LA Galaxy earned a 5-1 over the Union at StubHub Center. Wednesday’s match will mark the only fixture between LA and Philadelphia this year.
The Galaxy enter Wednesday’s game with a seven game unbeaten streak and a three-game unbeaten streak on the road. LA have scored 22 goals this season, the most in MLS, and given up just 10 for a +12 goal differential, also the best in MLS. The next best goal differential is seven below the Galaxy’s as the Colorado Rapids have recorded a +5 differential.
On Sunday, the Galaxy earned a 4-2 win over the New England Revolution at StubHub Center behind a brace from Robbie Keane and goals from Giovani dos Santos and Steven Gerrard. Dos Santos has now scored five goals and added two assists in his last four games.
