CARSON, Calif. (Monday, March 28, 2016) – The LA Galaxy (2-1-0, 6 points) return to MLS action this week when they travel for a match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC (2-2-0, 6 points) at BC Place this Saturday, April 2, at 7:00 p.m. PT live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes. LA Galaxy II will host Saint Louis FC at StubHub Center this Wednesday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. PT before traveling to face Real Monarchs SLC at Rio Tinto Stadium on Saturday, April 2, at 6 p.m. PT.
All time, the Galaxy are 8-3-2 against Vancouver all time and 1-2-2 at BC Place. Saturday marks the first of three matchups between the Galaxy and the Whitecaps this season, with the two sides set to meet again on July 4 and Aug. 27. In the last contest between the two teams, the Galaxy fell to Vancouver 1-0 at StubHub Center on June 6, 2015.
The Galaxy enter the contest Saturday after an off week in MLS play. Forward Robbie Keane (Ireland), Gyasi Zardes (U.S.) and A.J. DeLaGarza (Guam) will return to the Galaxy ahead of Saturday’s contest after being away with their respective national teams.
LA Galaxy II return to action this week after recording a 2-0 win in the 2016 USL opening match Saturday night over Arizona United SC. Forward Ariel Lassiter, the team’s leading scorer for the 2015 season, led the Galaxy with two first half goals.
