In their first game back at StubHub Center in over a month, Los Dos are set to host the Western Conference’s 1st place side. In what was a crowded top of the Western Conference table, Sacramento has distanced itself from the pack behind an eight-game unbeaten streak. Four of those were road games, and Republic FC went 3-0-1 in those matches.

In addition to being unbeaten in their last eight, Sacramento is unbeaten against Los Dos this season. In their first meeting of the season, Los Dos lost 0-2 to Republic FC at home on May 7 – Los Dos’ first home loss of the season. On June 4, they drew 2-2 with Sacramento at Bonney Field.

In that match, the Villarreal brothers filled the score sheet for LA. Both Jaime and Jose Villarreal scored with Jo. Villarreal assisting on Ja. Villarreal’s goal. Jo. Villarreal, co-leader in goals for the team, and Ja. Villarreal, co-leader in assists for the team, will be imperative to Los Dos’ success on Saturday night.

Also key for Los Dos will be the return of one of their top defenders, Jefrey Payeras. Payeras missed the team’s last two outings after being called up by the Guatemalan National Team for their World Cup Qualifiers against St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago. Payeras went 90 minutes in both games.

All-time, LA has struggled against Sacramento. The team has managed only a 1-8-1 record against the Northern Californian side. LA has never beaten Sacramento at StubHub Center.
