LOS ANGELES (August 21, 2026) – The LA Galaxy traveled across the continent and north of the border to play an interconference match against CF Montréal at Stade Saputo on Saturday, August 22 (4:30 p.m. PT, Apple TV).

LA Galaxy at CF Montréal

The LA Galaxy head to Stade Saputo on Saturday, August 22 (4:30 p.m. PT – Apple TV) for their first road match against CF Montréal since 2018 and the 10th all-time meeting between the clubs. LA has enjoyed success in the series, posting a 5-1-3 record and winning each of the last four matchups while outscoring Montréal 9-1. The Galaxy also recorded a 4-0 victory in the teams' last meeting in September 2022. Saturday's interconference clash is set to feature two of MLS's marquee attackers in Hirving "Chucky" Lozano and Alexis Sánchez.

LA Galaxy Recent Results

In their most recent match, the Galaxy earned three points in their 1-0 win over Northern California rivals, San Jose Earthquakes, behind a clean sheet from goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski and Joseph Paintsil's fifth goal of the season. Academy product Harbor Miller has continued to impress since the World Cup break, recording his second assist of the season on Paintsil's goal against San Jose.

Defensively, the Galaxy have been in strong form throughout the month of August, conceding just once in their three matches, from the penalty spot. Additionally, dating back to late July, Marcinkowski and the back line have not allowed a goal from open play in 298 minutes, spanning the club's last four matches.

With the summer arrivals of Kyōgo Furuhashi, Hirving "Chucky" Lozano and Robert Taylor, along with the impending addition of former FC Barcelona captain Sergi Roberto, the Galaxy have added significant reinforcements to their squad. The club hopes to receive additional depth soon with Designated Player forward João Klauss nearing a return from injury. As those additions continue to integrate, LA will look to build on its recent momentum during the final stretch of the season.
