LA Galaxy vs Seattle Sounders

The LA Galaxy welcome the Seattle Sounders to Dignity Health Sports Park for the 43rd regular-season meeting between the two clubs. While Seattle owns a narrow edge in the all-time series (15-12-15), the Galaxy hold an even 7-7-7 mark against the Sounders at home. Earlier this season, LA secured one of its biggest results of the campaign with a 2-0 victory in Seattle on May 16, snapping the Sounders' 22-match home unbeaten streak and earning the club's first road win against Seattle since July 9, 2016. The teams met twice in 2025, with Seattle claiming a road victory before the sides played to a 2-2 draw at Lumen Field. Saturday's match will also mark another return to Los Angeles for former Galaxy forward and 2024 MLS Cup champion Dejan Joveljić, who joined Seattle in a summer trade after spending the previous season and a half with Sporting Kansas City.

LA Galaxy Recent Results

The Galaxy have posted a 2-2-1 record over their last five MLS matches, highlighted by a 2-1 win over the New England Revolution at Dignity Health Sports Park before falling on the road to Western Conference-leading Vancouver Whitecaps FC in their most recent outing. As the regular season enters its final stretch, LA continues its push up a tightly contested Western Conference table while working to build consistency and continuity across the roster.

With the summer transfer window now closed, the Galaxy's recent additions are already settling into the squad and making an impact. Hirving "Chucky" Lozano and Robert Taylor have contributed in the attack with their first goals for the club, while Kyōgo Furuhashi, Sergi Roberto and Pablo Ruiz continue to gain valuable starts and minutes as they grow into their roles within Greg Vanney's side.

Additional reinforcements are also arriving at a crucial time, with 2023 Club Defender of the Year Lucas Calegari now available after finalizing his visa paperwork and Designated Player forward João Klauss returning from the injury that has sidelined him since April. Before being sidelined with a foot injury, the Brazilian striker tallied five goals in eight league appearances, including four goals in his first three games for the club, highlighted by a two-minute brace against Charlotte FC. With new signings integrating into the group and key contributors returning to availability, the Galaxy will look to build momentum in their playoff push and establish cohesion down the stretch.
