AAPI Ticket Package
The LA Galaxy are celebrating AAPI Month with a special ticket package for the match against San Jose as part of AAPI Heritage Night. The AAPI scarf is a collaboration with Asian American gymnast Katelyn Ohashi. Ohashi is a former UCLA All-American, NCAA National Champion and ESPY winner. She was a four-time member of USA Gymnastics’ Junior National Team, the 2011 junior national champion and the winner of the 2013 American Cup. Ohashi provided the design inspiration using Kintsugi (the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold; a metaphor for embracing your flaws and imperfections) and koi fish for one side of the scarf. The other side of the scarf uses a concentric circle pattern commonly found on AAPI artwork, which represents the ocean. AAPI Heritage Ticket Pack buyers will be able to pick between an AAPI-themed scarf or rally towel while supplies last. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase this package at www.lagalaxy.com/aapi until 2:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, May 14.

Merchandise
In celebration of AAPI Month, the LA Galaxy Team Store will feature two different collections. In the second consecutive year collaborating with Japangeles, the LA Galaxy x Japangeles Collection features the LA Galaxy J-Bolt Shirt and the Sakura Scarf. The LA Galaxy Filipino Heritage Collection will be the Galaxy’s first-ever Filipino Heritage collection released, and includes a shirt, sweater and scarf. The collection is inspired by tribal elements and by the Sampaguita, the national flower of the Philippines.
