- Gastón Brugman gets the start as the holding midfielder in his second season for the Galaxy. Brugman logged three goals and two assists in 16 appearances (16 starts) across all competitions last year for LA.
- Designated PlayerRiqui Puig makes his second start of the season for LA. Puig logged three goals and five assists in 10 regular-season appearances (9 starts) for the Galaxy in 2022.
- Mark Delgado, who tallied two goals and four assists in 29 regular-season appearances (29 starts) in his first season for LA last year, makes his second start of the season for the Galaxy.
- Making his second start of the season for the Galaxy is Efraín Álvarez, who has recorded an assist in three consecutive regular-season appearances for LA dating back to Sept. 24, 2022.
- Memo Rodríguez makes his second start of the season for LA in the match against Sporting. Rodríguez tallied three assists in 30 league appearances (18 starts) for Houston Dynamo FC last season.
- Starting up top is Serbian international forward Dejan Joveljić, who tallied 15 goals and three assists in 38 games played (10 starts) across all competitions last season for the Galaxy.
