Starting XI presented by Modelo: Real Salt Lake vs. LA Galaxy | September 25, 2019 -

Lineup Notes:

  • With just three games left in the regular season, the LA Galaxy are on a two-game win streak and head into a huge Western Conference matchup with Real Salt Lake on Wednesday evening.
  • LA Galaxy Head Coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto will make one change to the Starting XI as Rolf Feltscher returns from suspension and is back in the lineup in place of Julian Araujo.
  • To no surprise, David Bingham continues in net for the Galaxy. This year, Bingham has started every game in net this year, boasts eight shutouts and has the most saves in Major League Soccer.
  • On the right side of the defense is Rolf Feltscher, whose last game before suspension was a strong outing for the Venezuelan in the 7-2 win over SKC. Feltscher has been GBS’ first-choice right back this season.
  • Continuing in the XI is Uruguayan Diego Polenta, arguably the Galaxy’s top defender this season. Polenta has been what the Galaxy had hoped when they brought him in this offseason.
  • Alongside Polenta is Daniel Steres, who makes his 29th start of the year and the 93rd of his career. Steres is tied for third on the team with three goals this year.
  • Out wide on the left is the talented and versatile Dave Romney, who makes his 8th start of the season and his third straight start. Romney has slotted into the left back position and filled in well during the stretch run.
  • In the center is Jonathan dos Santos, who is having a standout year with the Galaxy at an MLS Best XI level. JDS will play an important role Wednesday against RSL.
  • Joe Corona makes his 25th start of the season Saturday night. Corona has combined well in the midfield of late that has played a big part in the Galaxy’s two-game win streak.
  • In the center of the field to round out the midfield trio is Sebastian Lletget. Lletget has combined excellently with JDS and Corona to give the Galaxy a balance in the midfield.
  • Out wide on the left is Cristian Pavon, the young and talented Argentine who boasts experience playing at the World Cup for his country. Pavon has had an influence of late, recording five total assists since he joined the club last month.
  • Out wide on the right is Uriel Antuna, who has scored two goals in his last two games. Antuna is coming into form at the right time as he has given the offense another scoring threat.
  • Up top is Zlatan. He likes to score.

Autumn Leaves – Frank Sinatra

The falling leaves

Drift by the window

The autumn leaves

Of red and gold

I see your lips

The summer kisses

The sunburned hands

I used to hold

Since you went away

The days grow long

And soon I'll hear

Old winter's song

But I miss you most of all

My darling

When autumn leaves

Start to fall

Since you went away

The days grow long

And soon I'll hear

Old winter's song

But I miss you most of all

My darling

When autumn leaves

Start to fall
