In celebration of Juneteenth, June 18's Hero of the Match presented by Pirnia Law … Technical Sgt Ruben Tolbert of the U.S. Air Force.
Technical Sgt Ruben Tolbert is a Cleveland, Ohio native with 12 years of military service. He is married to another active-duty member and he’s a father to 3 daughters. Tolbert was deployed to Haiti in 2010 to support in aid efforts after the massive earthquake. He also deployed to Suriname in South America in 2011 and domestically to Gary Indiana in 2021 to support FEMA.
TSgt Tolbert aides in the management at the sole dental clinic at Edwards Air Force Base, CA. Through his leadership, his clinic has won two consecutive quarterly awards as well as, two NCO and civilian awards. TSgt Tolbert is the Edwards Air Force Base African Heritage Associations president, and he is currently leading a team who’s planning a base wide Juneteenth event.
