Veteran Specialist E-4 Jose Estrada of the U.S. Army is the Hero of the Match presented by Pirnia Law 

Tonight's Hero of the Match presented by Pirnia Law is Veteran Specialist E-4 Jose Estrada of the U.S. Army.

Estrada honorably enlisted in the Army in 2002 as an Infantry recon soldier with Charlie company 2-7 First Calvary Division. He deployed to Iraq in 2004, during that deployment he was an automatic rifleman in operation Iraqi freedom II. He participated in over 300 combat missions including raids, convoy escorts, recon and surveillance, and direct combat operations in Sadr city, Najaf, and Bagdad. Estrada was also a part of Operation Phantom Fury, the second battle of Falluja, which is considered the biggest ground battle since the Vietnam war. Some of his awards include the Combat Infantry Badge, the Global War on Terrorism Service Metal, Iraq Campaign Metal and 4 Presidential Unit Citations. After being honorably discharged, he continues to service the community by working for over 15 years in the California Department of corrections as a correctional officer and coaching both our children's club soccer teams on his off time.

He also attended the Galaxy’s inaugural game in 1996. He went to Galaxy games throughout his childhood and continues to attend games with his children to this day.
