EFRAIN ALVAREZ vs. SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC 2

Another month, another nomination for LA Galaxy youth phenom Efrain Alvarez. The Galaxy’s striker’s latest impressive finish came when he put Galaxy II ahead of Seattle with a clever left-footed finish.

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC vs. D.C. UNITED

You can’t stop, Zlatan, you can only hope to contain him—and even that might be too much for you. Ibrahimović showcased his physicality as he out-muscled a defender to score on a volley in the opening minutes of the Galaxy’s win over D.C. United.

CHRIS PONTIUS vs. NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION

Chris Pontius had quite the month of July and his brilliant showing was highlighted by a brace in the Galaxy’s remarkable comeback against the New England Revolution. The most aesthetically pleasing finish came in the 38th minute when he smashed a shot first-time to put the Galaxy on the board.

ROMAIN ALESSANDRINI vs. LAFC

Romain Alessandrini’s late tally against LAFC helped spark yet another dramatic comeback in the 2-2 draw at Banc of California Stadium. The sequence began when Zlatan Ibrahimovic expertly dribbled past Walker Zimmerman before sending a cross to Alessandrini to kick-start the rally.

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC vs. ORLANDO CITY SC

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his first-career MLS Hat trick in the Galaxy’s thrilling 4-3 win over Orlando City SC, but his second finish was the most beautiful. A lovely combination between Zlatan and Ola Kamara started the sequence which ended with Kamara delivering the ball to Ibrahimovic who finished with a diving header.
