LA Galaxy II earn 3-0 home victory over OC Blues FC

LA Galaxy II (8-5-1, 25 points) earned a 3-0 victory over the Orange County Blues FC on Friday evening at StubHub Center’s Track & Field Stadium behind goals from David Romney, Travis Bowen and Ariel Lassiter.

Los Dos moved up to first place in the USL Regular Season Western Conference standings after the win.

Galaxy II defender David Romney opened the scoring for the hosts with his first goal of the season. Romney lept above Orange County’s backline to get his head on the ball and find the back of the net in the 22nd minute from a set piece taken by Andre Auras.

LA Galaxy II continued to control proceedings into the second half as Jack McBean had numerous efforts saved by Blues goalkeeper Pepe Miranda.

The home side double the lead in the 60th minute however when Travis Bowen got the final touch on another Andre Auras set piece and poked the ball into the back of the net.

Ariel Lassiter rounded out the scoring in stoppage time with his sixth goal of the season. Raul Mendiola played Lassiter through on goal with a lovely pass and the forward finished emphatically from close range.
