Carson, Calif. (Monday, August 10, 2015) - LA Galaxy II have acquired midfielder Bryan Olivera on a season-long loan, the club announced today. Olivero, born in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., joins LA Galaxy II from Brazilian side Fluminense.

“Bryan is a young, talented attacking player with a very bright future ahead of him,” said LA Galaxy technical director Jovan Kirovski. “In addition to signing and developing local players, LA Galaxy II provides an opportunity to evaluate talent across the world. We are happy to add him to our roster as he continues to develop on the field.”
Olivera spent his youth in Uruguay, where he featured for Deportivo Maldano. In 2013, he then moved to Italy to join the youth side of Genoa of Serie A. He joined Fluminense in Brazil the following year, where he has remained through this season. In addition to his club experience, Olivera is also a Uruguayan youth international. He is the son of Washington Olivera, a former professional footballer who appeared for the Tampa Bay Rowdies (NASL) and Uruguayan national team during his career.
