LA Galaxy II (9-2-8, 35 points) picked up their fourth straight win in a 3-2 defeat of San Antonio FC (6-6-6, 24 points) on the road Saturday evening at Toyota Park in front of 7,690 fans. Three first half goals from Los Dos' Jose Villarreal, Jack McBean and Jaime Villarreal were enough for LA to extend its unbeaten streak to nine games, the team's longest unbeaten streak of the season.

Despite San Antonio opening the scoring with a set piece goal in the 3rd minute, LA was quick to respond and quickly turned the tables to dominate the half. Jaime Villarreal got things started for LA when he determinedly dribbled through the center of the SAFC defense before slotting a short pass to his brother Jose who sent a left-footed one-timer past the 'keeper.

In the 20th minute, Los Dos would take the lead. Jack McBean received a cross on the ground into the top of the box that he hit one-time on target forcing the SAFC goalkeeper to go to ground to block the shot. McBean fell after his initial shot, but the ball rebounded and McBean scrambled to his feet, beat the defender to the ball and blasted a left-footed shot past the defender and goalkeeper for his USL-leading 15th goal of the season.

It only took another 15-minute interval for Los Dos to put in another. Jaime Villarreal and Josh Turnley connected in the box to pull of a textbook give-and-go with Villarreal finishing off the play right in front of the net in the 35th minute.

LA would finish the half with the 1-3 lead. San Antonio FC put the pressure on in the second half, and ultimately pulled one back in the 84th minute when a Clement Diop save rebounded in the area and was converted by the home team. But Galaxy II bunkered down and went on to see our their second straight road win.

With the win, LA Galaxy II are now No. 1 in the USL Western Conference with 11 games left to play on the season. Their three goals against SAFC made them the first team in the league to 40 goals on the season.
Next, Los Dos are on the road but closer to home when they take on Orange County Blues FC at 7:00 p.m. PT on Saturday, July 30 at Anteater Stadium in Irvine, Calif. It will be Los Dos' last game of a three-game road stretch. For a full LA Galaxy II schedule, visit www.lagalaxy.com/schedule/2.
