The LA Galaxy (1-1-1, 4 points) return to Los Angeles to take on LAFC (2-0-0, 6 points) at 12 p.m. PT on Saturday, March 31 at StubHub Center (FOX, FOX Deportes). The sold-out match will mark the Galaxy’s first-ever meeting with LAFC, MLS’ newest expansion franchise.
Over the weekend, the Galaxy earned a 0-0 draw against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at BC Place. Goalkeeper David Bingham and the Galaxy earned their first shutout of the season in the contest.
On Friday, the LA Galaxy announced the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimović. Ibrahimović joins LA after having won 11 league titles in four European countries, while totaling 33 trophies in his career to date. Ibrahimović was signed with the use of Targeted Allocation Money.
