The LA Galaxy will honor the memory of Dr. Ken Ravizza on Saturday by wearing black armbands for their match against New England Revolution.

Ravizza, an acclaimed sports psychologist, and professor at Cal-State Fullerton passed away last Sunday night less than a week after suffering a heart attack in Orange County. He was 70.

He is survived by his wife, Claire, and daughters Monica and Nina.

During his career, Ravizza worked extensively with the LA Galaxy, as well as the Chicago Cubs, Tampa Bay Rays, and other various organizations throughout sports.

Following the announcement, several current and former members of the Galaxy organization took to social media to express their condolences to Ravizza’s family.
