Guillermo Barros Schelotto determined to bring his offensive soccer to LA Galaxy: "I have the biggest expectations"

LOS ANGELES – Guillermo Barros Schelotto is coming to the LA Galaxy with high expectations and a plan to bring attacking soccer to Dignity Health Sports Park.

During his stints with Boca Juniors and LanĂşs, Schelotto’s teams were known for their free-flowing attacking play.  Over the last two seasons, in particular, Schelotto was able to implement a fluid offense that helped the team score 112 goals en route to a pair of league titles.

Now as the head coach of the Galaxy, Schelotto believes that he can install his open and attacking minded style of play in Los Angeles.

“We want to be offensive, and we want to open the field," he told LAGalaxy.com. "I have the biggest expectations about the players that we have—Zlatan Ibrahimović, [Romain] Alessandrini, [Giovani and Jonathan] dos Santos. We have good international players, and we have good American players as well. I think we can have a good year. I think that I have the best expectations for them. We can work together, and we can do something for Galaxy."
