LOS ANGELES – Guillermo Barros Schelotto believes his squad is moving in the right direction following the first week of preseason.
The Galaxy continued their double-days on Friday with another session at Dignity Health Sports Park. Throughout the sessions, Schelotto’s men have remained healthy with the Galaxy boss confirming that the squad remains at full strength.
While the team improves their fitness level, the Argentinean boss is focused on helping them find their identity on the pitch.
“I think we first have to find our style of play,” Schelotto said. “Be committed and from then on see what possibilities are based on what we have, and we’ll see that as soon as we start playing games.”
During the club’s media availability midweek, Schelotto confirmed that the club are still working on additional player signings during the preseason, while also reiterating the team’s commitment to stars Zlatan Ibrahimović, Giovani and Jonathan dos Santos, and Romain Alessandrini.
With the first game of the regular season still months away, Schelotto has already identified his objective: the postseason.
“The first objective will surely be to build a team that can reach the playoffs. It’s what we will work on and obviously those are our aspirations.”
