Ola Kamara notches a brace, David Bingham stops Andres Iniesta penalty as LA Galaxy beat Vissel Kobe 4-1 in preseason opener

LOS ANGELES – The LA Galaxy earned a 4-1 win over Japanese club Vissel Kobe in the first preseason game under new manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto.

Ola Kamara scored twice and Ema Boateng added another in the match played over four 30-minute periods. Vissel Kobe found the back of the net with a tally from Brazilian striker Wellington, but also scored an own goal just moments before the end of the second period.

But the most dramatic moment came in the 40th minute when goalkeeper David Bingham stonewalled Andres Iniesta penalty kick and then came up big to halt the Spaniard on the rebound.

The Galaxy continue their preseason slate on Saturday when they host Toronto FC at Dignity Health Sports Park.
