Match Preview: New LA Galaxy manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto prepares to manage his first game at Dignity Health Sports Park

LOS ANGELES – Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s new look LA Galaxy will play their first match at Dignity Health Sports Park this Saturday.

The Galaxy will play host to Toronto FC on Saturday in their second preseason game of the year. Earlier this week, the Galaxy defeated Japanese league club Vissel Kobe 4-1 with goals from Ola Kamara and Ema Boateng.

As the team moves closer to their season opener on March 2, Schelotto’s group have spent the last several days implementing their style of play, which will be on full display Saturday.

"We're working really well [this preseason]," the Galaxy boss said. "Everyone knows what they have to do in the field. This is not going to be quick, so you need to work every week and every game to get better."

Schelotto will likely have most of his squad available on Saturday including new signing Diego Polenta. Only midfielders Giovani dos Santos and Sebastian Lletget are injury doubts.

"We have a good roster. I don't want to talk about the last two years anymore, but the level is a lot better than the last two years," Schelotto said. "We need to get fit and in the friendly games that are coming, we can continue to improve.
