Match Preview presented by Welch's Fruit Snacks: LA Galaxy look to break slide against FC Dallas -

With just one point separating the longtime foes, the LA Galaxy host FC Dallas in a midweek match with huge playoff implications Wednesday night at Dignity Heath Sports Complex.

The Galaxy (12-11-1) are looking to snap a three-match losing streak following a 2-1 loss at D.C. United Sunday night. Favio Alvarez leveled three minutes into the second half, canceling out Paul Arriola's first-half goal. Zlatan Ibrahimovic set an MLS record for shots in a game with 14, but just one was on target and Bill Hamid parried away the full volley. Two minutes later, after clearing a ball off the line, Lucas Rodriguez pounced on a rebound for the winning goal in the 73rd minute.

FC Dallas (10-9-6) moved above the playoff line with a 5-3 win over Minnesota United at Toyota Stadium Saturday night. Ryan Hollingshead, Santiago Mosquera and Reggie Cannon scored in a five-goal first half to put FC Dallas in front at the break. Hassani Dotson leveled for the Loons in the 73rd minute, but Brandon Servania struck for a late brace to lift FC Dallas to the win.

This is the second meeting this year with FC Dallas winning 2-0 at Toyota Stadium in March with Reto Ziegler and Bryan Acosta scoring eight minutes apart in the second half.
