LOS ANGELES (Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019) – The LA Galaxy announced today the club has exercised contract options for four players from the team’s 2019 roster. An additional 11 players remain under contract, bringing the club’s current roster to 15 players under contract for the 2020 Major League Soccer season.
The Galaxy have exercised contract options on the following four players: goalkeeper Justin Vom Steeg, defender Rolf Feltscher, midfielder Emil Cuello and forward Cristian Pavon.
Additionally, the LA Galaxy have declined the options of the following players: defender Diego Polenta, midfielder Favio Alvarez, midfielder Juninho, midfielder Joao Pedro, defender Tomas Hilliard-Arce, midfielder Servando Carrasco, goalkeeper Matt Lampson, and defender Hugo Arellano.
The following players are out of contract: midfielder Romain Alessandrini, defender Daniel Steres, forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and forward Bradford Jamieson IV.
Midfielder Uriel Antuna’s loan has expired and midfielder Chris Pontius has retired from professional soccer.
The club remains in negotiations with the following players: midfielder Romain Alessandrini, defender Diego Polenta and defender Daniel Steres.

| . The Re-Entry Process (Stage 1 and Stage 2) is conducted in reverse order of 2019 season finish, taking into account postseason performance. Per the Expansion Priority Draft, Nashville SC will have the 25th pick and Inter Miami CF will have the final selection in each round.Eligible Players include: 1. Players who are at least 23 years old, have a minimum of three service years, and their contract options were not exercised by their clubs. These players will be available at their 2019 option salary. 2. Players who are at least 25 years old, have a minimum of four service years, are out of contract, and their clubs do not wish to re-sign them at their previous salary. These players are available for at least their 2019 salary. 3. Free Agents that choose to participate.
