Charlene Gaona is known to many of us for her pleasant demeanor interacting with employees, patients and visitors while working the entrance areas of the hospital.
Charlene is a diligent Security Officer with a keen ability to all diffuse difficult situations. Charlene is also known for being highly observant. On one recent occasion, Charlene was working observing security surveillance cameras when she spotted a discharged patient on camera in the Emergency Department entrance area. This individual matched the description of a suspected kidnapper of an 11-month old baby girl who was being sought by police. A quick check of the wristband on the individual indicated a name matching the name of the wanted suspect. Charlene immediately notified her supervisor and law enforcement was contacted.
