The LA Galaxy Player of the Month Award presented by Herbalife Nutrition features a five-man ballot for July, with Giovani dos Santos, Romain Alessandrini, Ashley Cole, Ariel Lassiter and Adrian Vera all up for the award.

Fans will be able to vote for the group of nominated players at LAGalaxy.com/POTM, where they can also enter the Herbalife Player of the Month Sweepstakes. July’s Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month award winner will be announced on Aug. 6, with fan voting closing on Aug. 5.
MLS All-Star Giovani dos Santos is up for nomination after collecting a second-straight All-Star nomination in a month that included his appearance in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup. He made three starts for the Galaxy in the month of July, with a bonus for welcoming his brother to Los Angeles.
Two-time LA Galaxy Player of the Month Award winner Romain Alessandrini is back on the ballot after making four appearances for LA Galaxy in the month of July and recording an assist in the team’s July 22 match against New England Revolution. Alessandrini was snubbed for the MLS All-Star Game, earning eight goals and eight assists in his first 20 appearances in MLS.
Ashley Cole is on the ballot for a second straight month, asserting his leadership in a tough month for the Galaxy, and finishing it off with the team’s second home shutout of the season.
Ariel Lassiter is on the ballot after scoring his first MLS goal in the team’s July 22 fixture against New England Revolution. He followed that up with a goal in LA Galaxy II’s July 30 draw with OKC Energy FC at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium.
Adrian Vera gets his first nomination after playing his part as a key piece of LA Galaxy II’s longest unbeaten streak of the season. He scored three goals in two matches for the Galaxy, sparking a 4-3 comeback against Portland Timbers 2, and scoring in the team’s 1-1 draw against Tulsa Roughnecks FC on July 13.
When a fan votes for a player online at LAGalaxy.com/POTM, they can enter to win the Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month Sweepstakes. Each month, the sweepstakes winner will receive four VIP match tickets to a 2017 LA Galaxy home game. The winner and their three guests will also win a meet and greet with the LA Galaxy Player of the Month presented by Herbalife Nutrition at the LA Galaxy’s training grounds at StubHub Center.
The campaign for August’s LA Galaxy Player of the Month Award presented by Herbalife kicks off at 1:00 p.m. PT on Sunday, Aug. 6 when the LA Galaxy are on the road to face Portland Timbers FC at Providence Park (ESPN).
