CARSON, Calif. (Monday, May 30, 2016) – LA Galaxy II (5-2-5, 20 points) have a week of training to prepare for a rematch against Northern California rival Sacramento Republic FC (4-3-2, 14 points) on Saturday, June 4 at Bonney Field in Sacramento, Calif. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. PT.
In the two sides’ first meeting of the season, Sacramento Republic FC handed Los Dos its first loss and first shutout of the season in a 2-0 victory over LA at StubHub Track & Field Stadium on May 7. In regular season matchups, Los Dos are 1-6-2against Sacramento.
Over the weekend, LA defeated Arizona United SC 4-1 at StubHub Center. It was the team’s first win since May 4 and broke a three-game winless streak. Braces from Ryo Fujii and Jack McBean were plenty for LA to secure the three points. They now sit second in the USL Western Conference standings, two points behind Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (6-0-4, 22 points).
