LA Galaxy midfielder Marco Reus has been named to Major League Soccer’s Team of the Matchday for Matchday 24 after his goal and performance in the Galaxy's 2-1 win over D.C. United on Saturday night at Dignity Health Sports Park.

The win continues the Galaxy's good form at home, now at three wins in their past three games, and Reus' fine form too. The German has 12 goal contributions in his last 12 games, including two goals and four assists in his last five matches played. He is now the Galaxy's leading scorer in the 2025 MLS Regular Season with five goals.

Reus opened the scoring for the Galaxy 23rd minute with a first-time right-footed strike after a scramble in the goal area following a corner kick.

This week's MLS Team of the Matchday nod is Reus' third of the season having earned the honor for Matchday 19 for his two assists at St. Louis CITY SC, and before that for his two goals against LAFC on May 18, which not only saw him make Team of the Matcday 14 but also earn his first MLS Player of the Matchday. This is Reus' fourth MLS Team of the Matchday honor since joining the Galaxy in August 2024.

Next up, the LA Galaxy play host to Austin FC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Wednesday, July 16 (7:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass).
